Goal: To insure and promote the best possible educational opportunities for all members of the Walker River Paiute Tribe, and to the community.

We offer three (3) different programs for students pursuing their higher education.

  • Fulltime – this is for the student who is interested in pursuing a college degree. Student must maintain twelve credits and a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this program.
  • Vo-tech – this is for the student attending a vocational or trade school receiving a certification.
  • Enrichment – this program is for students pursuing their college degree on a part-time basis (9 credits or less) or for the working person enhancing their job skills.

The center is open to high school and Jr. high school students to assist with homework or for tutoring. Computers and internet service is available. Elementary students are encouraged to receive homework and tutoring assistance at the Boys & Girls Club but are still welcome to the Learning Center.

The center also houses a small resource library and is open to the public. Computers and internet are also open to the public.
